National Franchise Sales Conducts Successful Auction of 77 Pizza Hut Restaurants

National Franchise Sales (NFS) is pleased to announce the successful completion of the auction for 77 Pizza Hut restaurants in three key markets. The competitive auction, held as part of a bankruptcy sale, attracted strong interest from qualified bidders across the franchise industry.

Due to financial challenges, including negative EBITDA at nearly one-third of the locations, the sales strategy pivoted to focus on a core group of 38 higher-performing restaurants, supplemented by an additional 39 locations, totaling 77 units. This approach reinvigorated buyer interest and maximized recovery for the estate.

The auction, held on January 28th in Dallas, resulted in all 77 designated restaurants receiving bids, leading to a recovery of just under $12 million. Despite extensive outreach, the remaining underperforming locations did not receive offers, even from parties considering conversion opportunities.

Successful bidders for the units in Georgia and South Carolina include Pizza Hut corporate, PZH Foods, LLC led by Aditya Pannu, and Valor Pizza, LLC led by Asad Mitha, for a total of $5,150,000 for the market.

Successful bidders for the units in Illinois include Pizza Hut corporate, Shantilal "Shawn" Patel, and Neil Patel, for a total of $4,260,000 for the market.

Successful bidders for the units in Wisconsin include Pizza Hut corporate, PZH Foods, LLC led by Aditya Pannu, and PH Hospitality Group, LLC led by Matt Dillon, for a total of $2,370,000 for the market.

The transaction is expected to close following court approval and satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
