Multiunit Wienerschnitzel franchisee Hasibul Sharif acquired two units in a remote market of Southern California less than 18 months earlier but found these isolated stores too difficult to oversee. NFS was engaged to sell the two stores together, thus allowing the seller to concentrate efforts back in his core market. Financing was difficult to obtain as the seller did not own the stores long enough to have the customary three years of financial statements needed to obtain financing, nor did he have access to the previous owner’s financial statements. NFS obtained an offer to purchase from a first-time franchise buyer Salwa Abadeer and worked closely with her through due diligence, the Franchisor approval process, negotiated the placement of a certified manager into the units to satisfy the Franchisor’s requirements, and prepared the buyer for ownership.
